In a world that often feels divided, overwhelmed, and uncertain, peace can seem like a far-off dream—something we long for but aren’t sure how to create. At Percolate Peace, we believe peace isn’t just possible—it’s personal, practical, and powerful. That belief gave rise to something bold, beautiful, and transformative: The Percolate Peace Project.
But what exactly is the Percolate Peace Project? Who started it? What’s it about? And how can you get involved?
Let’s dive in.
The Origin of the Percolate Peace Project
The Percolate Peace Project was created by bestselling authors Elizabeth Hamilton-Guarino and Dr. Katie Eastman, co-authors of The Peace Guidebook – How to Cultivate Hope, Healing, and Harmony for All Humanity (HCI/Simon & Schuster, 2026). Together, Elizabeth and Katie envisioned a global movement rooted in one idea: that peace begins within and extends outward through intentional, compassionate action.
Inspired by their earlier work (Percolate: Let Your Best Self Filter Through), they applied the “percolation” metaphor—slow, steady, transformative growth—to peace itself. What began as a book became a global mission to help 1 million people cultivate and share peace in their own lives, families, communities, and leadership.
Peace isn’t passive. It’s something we practice, something we percolate—one thought, one breath, one moment at a time.
Our Mission: Peace for the Good of Humankind
At its heart, the Percolate Peace Project is about helping people:
Cultivate personal peace through self-awareness, healing, and mindfulness
Create relational peace by fostering understanding, compassion, and communication
Contribute to collective peace through leadership, advocacy, and aligned action
This is a people-powered movement. Whether you're a parent trying to raise kind kids, a leader seeking to create a psychologically safe workplace, or simply someone wanting to feel more grounded and whole—there’s space for you here.
We are committed to:
Helping 1 million people percolate peace
Providing accessible tools for everyday peacebuilding
Connecting people globally around shared values of hope, healing, and harmony
Creating content, books, podcasts, and programming that make peace a real, lived experience
What Does “Percolate Peace” Mean?
The word percolate means to slowly filter or flow through something—and it’s the perfect metaphor for peace.
You don’t need to radically change your entire life to be more peaceful. You just need to start where you are—with one moment of presence, one act of grace, one courageous conversation. Like coffee brewing in the morning, peace begins to rise, soften, and warm everything it touches.
Percolating peace means:
Living intentionally, not reactively
Choosing love over fear
Healing from the inside out
Being part of something bigger than yourself
Spreading your Peaceprint™—the unique imprint of peace your life leaves behind
What Is a Peaceprint™?
A Peaceprint™ is your personal legacy of peace.
Co-created by Elizabeth Hamilton-Guarino and Dr. Katie Eastman, the Peaceprint™ is a central concept in The Peace Guidebook. It represents the ripple effect of your thoughts, choices, and actions—how you show up for yourself, others, and the world.
Your Peaceprint™ is:
Your presence: how people feel around you
Your choices: what you value and prioritize
Your voice: what you speak up for and advocate
Your impact: the difference you make, however small or large
Every peaceful action—no matter how tiny—leaves a mark. Percolating peace means leaving a trail of kindness, understanding, and love wherever you go.
Why Now?
We’re living in a time of:
Social unrest
Mental health crises
Widening divides
Global uncertainty
Burnout, grief, and overwhelm
The world needs peace—but not as a vague, abstract idea. We need tools. We need practices. We need a roadmap.
The Peace Guidebook and the Percolate Peace Project offer exactly that. This isn’t fluff. It’s not performative. It’s not spiritual bypassing.
This is real-life peace for real people, taught by two experienced guides who’ve walked the fire of grief, change, parenting, illness, marriage, leadership, burnout, and healing.
